Driving under the influence or DUI is a criminal offense of driving a motor vehicle with an alcohol level that exceeds the legal limit. This offense is also applicable when the offender operates a machine while intoxicated.

In some jurisdictions, a more rigid version of DUI is being implemented. In California, there are certain restrictions or prohibitions involving DUI. Minors, for example, cannot consume any alcohol, intoxicating substances, and prescriptions when driving.

The legal expression that is sussed to describe the attack of one person against another that results in some sort of bodily injury.

Some states rank them from A – F, while others are numerical. The most serious crime you can be charged with is a Class A or a Class 1 and it drops off after that until you eventually get down to misdemeanors.

Are a step under felonies, but can still be pretty serious and involve jail time.

Is not the same as legalization and does not mean it’s legal. It just means the state brought their punishments down – by how much is up to them. For example, in Florida, it’s decriminalized. But the punishments in Florida are still harsher there than those in New Jersey where it’s not decriminalized.

Means in some select towns, counties, or cities it is decriminalized to a point. What that point is, depends on the town that locally decriminalized it. Even if several parts of a state are locally decriminalized, each town could differ

The exact definition depends on the state, but usually possessing something without the intent to deliver, distribute, and/or sell. Charged very differently than possession with intent.

This applies to the drug, plant, or paraphernalia. Intent could be to deliver (driving), distribute (give it away), sell, or use. Some states don’t recognize intent to use, deliver, or distribute, but most do.
